Moreh (teacher) Anderson and his wife, Luciana, became our friends very quickly once we made it back to Brazil to visit with them. Here is our story:
After the Restoration Scriptures that were translated to Portuguese was ready, I took them to a printer in Tallahassee, Florida. I had five hundred printed. There were quite a few errors, both in grammatical structure and in the spelling of words. I had been taking a class in Brazilian Portuguese, and thought that I knew better about the language than Jesimiel, and I changed some of his words. To make a long story short, these Bibles were printed at the end of 2009.
In May of 2010, there was supposed to have been a visit by Rabbi Moshe Koniuchowsky to teach in an area near Sao Paolo, Brazil, to which he cancelled. I was to take his place and there was a specialized teaching that I was supposed to teach, but changed the content. The city's name was A... as at this time, cannot remember the name or the proper spelling.
Miguel and Anderson picked my wife and I up at the airport in Sao Paolo, and took us to our hotel. We had some really good fellowship with them, even though they did not speak much English, and we spoke textbook Portuguese. After we stayed in Sao Paolo for a few days, we were rested and Anderson picked us up at our hotel, and we went to another city, to another hotel, and then to his city, where he lived.
I had the opportunity. to meet with two pastors at a restaurant on the way to their city. We talked, ate, and had a cordial visit, even though there was a language barrier. Several pictures were taken. That evening, I shared a message, and we had a table in the back of the room with Shofars, Jewish Prayer Shawls, Anointing Oil, and the Restoration Scriptures that had been translated to Portuguese.
So, here is what happened: As soon as Anderson saw the new Bible, his mind began racing and he saw a need to make this Bible more compact and to make the Portuguese more readable with errors fixed. After about a year a so, he had the Bibles printed, as they were compact and easy to read. Unfortunately, the footnotes were removed.

Sadly, our friend, Anderson (Yahusef) died in February, 2026. The mantle that this man of God/YAHWEH carried was beyond description, and each time I see his pictures, I am saddened that I did not get to know him better or spend more quality time with him.
